MCNA/ANZM MUSEUM
The Museo de Ciencias Naturales de Álava´s (MCNA) holds a vast collection of geology, botany, and zoology. Developed as a collaborative project, the challenge was to design a new contemporary visual identity capable of connecting with newer generations while reflecting the essence of its study. Within the team, I took on the roles of Project Coordinator and Conceptual Lead. I was responsible for defining the creative direction, managing the workflow, and developing the core strategic framework that guided the entire group's execution.
Inspired by the process of evolution, the new identity creates a generative system that takes the atom as its core concept. Just as atoms combine to create molecules and the molecules evolve into cells that later create complex organisms, the identity replicates this natural process to create a living, adpative visual language.

Initial sketches focused on exploring organic shapes inspired by nature (insects, shells, animal patterns, plants…) as well as the exploration of modular systems to create a unique visual language for the museum. I experimented with basic shapes and patterns that could be scaled or repeated throughout the visual identity and its applications.
As Conceptual Lead, I designed a modular grid based on atomic bonds. This structural framework dictated how the shapes would form and interact with each other. Thanks to this, the team was able to create different patterns to represent the three pillars of the museum: geology, botany and zoology.
